Animal Control



Welcome to Brandon's Animal Control Webpage. The City of Brandon currently employs 2 Animal Control Officers. S/Cst. Pettinger, and S/Cst Cox.

The officers are available 7 days a week 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, and after hours for emergencies only. Our office is located at 1340 - 10th Street, and we can be reached at 729-2345. Or email a.control@brandon.ca

The services that are provided by Animal Control are:

· Securing dogs/cats and any other domestic animal that is running at large
· Checking license tags on dogs and cats
· Destroying any pigeons that are causing a nuisance
· Destroy/remove any pests. (meaning any animal, bird, rodent, domestic or wild causing a health hazard.)
· Assisting injured domestic animals and finding immediate medical care
· Investigating and the prosecution of cruelty situations
· Securing injured wildlife
· Dealing with odor problems from the defecation of dogs and cats
· Ensuring dangerous dogs are declared dangerous under the by-law
