PSD Mack

Police Service Dog (PSD) Mack graduated from the Calgary Police Services Dog Training Program December 17th, 1979 to become Brandon’s first Police Service Dog. Staff Sgt. Leon Flannigan (then Cst.) was Mack’s partner. Mack was a general service dog, trained in several areas of police work: tracking, article searching, criminal apprehension, suspect searches and drug searches. Mack did extremely well as a Police Service Dog, catching many criminals. Mack also competed in several Canadian National Police Service Dog competitions, bringing home numerous medals. Mack retired from Police work enjoying his retirement years living on a farm near Brandon, MB.
